Key Principles of Kill Team
Initiative Step
The first step in a turning point/Strategy phase is to determine which player now has the initiative.
In the first TP, the player with the initiative is decided by the Mission Pack.
Then, subsequent initiatives are determined by a roll-off.
The player with the initiative:
- Activates first in the Firefight phase
- Determines the order of resolution for rules that would happen at the same time
Ready Step
Collect CP:
- In TP 1, each player gets 1 CP
- After TP 1, the player with the initiative gets 1CP and the player without gets 2 CP
Ready Operatives
Each player makes sure their operatives are ready, by correctly setting their tokens.
Gambits Step
Each player alternates using a strategic gambit or passing. This continues until each player has passed in succession.
Gambits are commonly:
- Faction Strategy Ploys
- Operatives abilities
- Tac Ops
