Firefight Phase Sequence
Key Principles of Kill Team
Select a Ready Operative
Select an operative in a Ready state to perform actions.
This operative is now known as the Active Operative (AO).
Determine The Order
The player must now decide, before performing actions, what order the active operative will have (i.e. Conceal or Engage). Give that order token to the operative if it differs from its existing one. This order will stay with the operative until the start of that operative’s next activation.
Perform Actions
The active operative can perform actions until the active player passes, or that operative’s APL is reached.
- Each action can only be performed once in any given activation. This is known as ‘action restrictions’
- Players do not have to declare all of their actions in advance. You may decide what action to take next after seeing the effects of the last
- If an action is begun, but it is not possible to complete, the action is cancelled. The game state is then reverted back to its state before that action was started
Expend the Active Operative
Flip the active operative’s order token over to the expended side.
This operative is now no longer in a Ready state.
Next Player Activates
The next player can now activate an operative, however, if they have run out of Ready operatives, they may be able to counteract.
See the Counteract rule below.
